Trello Power-Up: setup guide

Adds a CraftWay button to your Trello cards: send a card to CraftWay and copy the client link without leaving Trello. You set it up once per Trello Workspace.

Only want the client links to follow your board automatically? You may not need the Power-Up at all — Setup → Trello connects a board directly, with nothing to install.

Before you start: an API key

Each integration signs in to CraftWay with an API key. In CraftWay open Setup → API, give the key a name (for example Trello) and click Create API key. Copy the key straight away — it's shown only once.

Use a separate key for each integration or teammate, so you can switch one off without breaking the others.

Download the Power-Up

In CraftWay open Setup → Plugins and click Download Power-Up (.zip). Unzip the file anywhere on your computer.

Create a Power-Up in Trello

Open trello.com/power-ups/admin and click New Power-Up, then choose your Workspace. On Windows you can instead right-click install.ps1 in the unzipped folder and choose Run with PowerShell: it copies the address for the next step and opens that page for you.

In Iframe connector URL paste https://craftway.app/integrations/trello/index.html. Name the Power-Up CraftWay, enter your email as the author and https://craftway.app/privacy as the privacy policy, then save.

Open the Capabilities tab and switch on all seven capabilities shown below.

Add it to your board

On your board open Power-Ups → Add Power-Ups → Custom, find CraftWay and click Add.

Connect it to CraftWay

Click the CraftWay button at the top of the board. Paste your CraftWay address (https://craftway.app) and your API key, click Test & load lists, choose a CraftWay stage for each Trello list, then click Save.

Send a client link

Open a card and click Push to CraftWay, then Copy client link and send the link to your client. Badges on the card show the current stage and the client's answer.
